Whatman Polycap TC capsule filter 6715-3682 contains a hydrophilic, high flow rate polyethersulfone (PES) membrane with a 0.8um prefilter and 0.2um final filter. Suitable for a wide range of aqueous filtration techniques in life science and pharmaceutical applications.

PES membranes (Poly Ether Sulfone membrane filters) are inherently hydrophilic with low extractables and high flow rates. They are biosafe and remove fine particles, bacteria and fungi. Low protein-binding minimizes non-specific protein binding and enables filtration applications such as cleaning/rinsing pharmaceutical solutions and viral suspensions, sterilizing tissue culture media, and general filtration.

Whatman Polycap TC PES capsule filters feature dual layer polyethersulfone (PES) membranes (0.8um followed by a 0.2um) and provide efficient filtration for aqueous solutions. They are encapsulated in a thermally fused polypropylene housing to eliminate surfactants and mold-releasing agents that could affect analysis.
